This project was a self portrait, I chose to use a photograph of the side of my face. Then to mix the concepts of graphic design and art I used acrylic paint to abstract the photograph. My reason for doing this was because I wanted my self portrait to be a representation of me in my natural habitat, which is in my bed sleeping. The color scheme I used is meant to be peaceful and relaxing. I also painted on my face in the photograph to enhance my favorite features on my face, my eyebrows, eyes, and freckles. What I want people to see when they see my self portrait is a representation of me and I hope people learn something new about me when they see it, or if they don't know me, a sense of the kind of person I am.
